Overview:
FBM Academy is a CIC prioritising children’s health, wellbeing and development.
This role is for an experienced dance coach specialising in Street Dance/Afrobeats who can deliver fun and educative after school club sessions in a CRAYFORD based primary school every wednesdays 3:15-4:15.
Candidate must be highly motivational and knowledgable on dance and school environment.
Safeguarding students is one of FBM Academy’ top priorities.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Coach to join our team. As a Coach, you will have the opportunity to educate and inspire athletes of primary school ages. If you have a strong background in sports coaching and a desire to make a positive impact on athletes' lives, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
- Develop and implement training programs for primary school aged students.
- Motivate and encourage athletes to reach their full potential
- Evaluate athletes' progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Coordinate team activities, including scheduling practices, games, and tournaments
- Ensure the safety of athletes during training sessions and competitions
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dancer or performer
- Level 2/3 in dance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Patience and understanding when working with children of different ages and skill levels
- CPR/First Aid certification (required)
- DBS Certificate (required)
- Safeguarding and child protections trained (preferred)
