Build Your Practice Somewhere That Values It
If you're an established Private Client Partner — or a Senior Associate ready to step up — we'd like to talk.
We're looking for lawyers who want more than another equity model. We're looking for people who want influence.
We recruit Partners into two distinct routes, reflecting two different but equally valued ways of building a successful practice with us. Both routes require an existing client following and proven personal billing — what differs is the balance between individual fee-earning and team leadership.
Route One: Practice Partner
This route is for established Partners whose primary focus is building and running their own practice. You will carry significant personal billing in your own right, with business development and client origination as a core and continuing part of your role.
- Minimum personal billing: £500,000 per annum
- A substantial proportion of your time dedicated to business development and client origination
- Primary accountability for your own client base and revenue, with limited or no formal team leadership responsibility
- Proven billing history and an existing client following you can bring with you
Route Two: Department Leader Partner
This route is for Partners who combine a strong personal practice with leadership of a department or team. You will carry a lower personal billing target than a Practice Partner in recognition of the time required to lead, develop, and ensure delivery across your team, while still maintaining your own client base and contributing to business development.
- Minimum personal billing: £200,000 per annum
- A defined but reduced proportion of time dedicated to personal business development, balanced against team leadership responsibility
- Accountability for the performance and billing of your team in addition to your own practice
- Leadership ability and experience managing or developing fee-earners
- Proven billing history and an existing client following you can bring with you
Both routes carry equal status as Partners of the firm. The distinction reflects the different ways our Partners contribute to the success of the business — as individual practice builders, or as leaders who multiply their impact through their team — and remuneration models are structured accordingly.
You'll Have
- Proven billing history at the appropriate level for your chosen route
- An existing client following with minimum billing as set out above
- Leadership ability (Department Leader route) or a strong individual track record of practice growth (Practice Partner route)
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrable business development experience and a clear plan for continuing to grow your client base
- Collaborative mindset
