We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team on various construction projects. Duties
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Supporting specialised trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry, plastering, and fabrication as required.
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling components.
- Assisting with the installation of roofing, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, or masonry structures under supervision.
- Performing general labouring tasks including lifting heavy materials, mixing cement or mortar, and cleaning work areas.
- Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings to support construction activities.
- Applying construction painting techniques where necessary to ensure finishes meet project specifications.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry or carpentry is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of schematics or technical drawings can be beneficial for supporting specialised tasks.
- Experience in working on-site in diverse weather conditions and understanding safety protocols is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks involving lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if required.
