We are looking for an Experienced Cook to join our team at The Alexandra Rose Care home. The successful applicant must have experience in cooking and preparing meals for a large number of people and must also be able to work well in a team as well as independently. Previous Care Home experience is advantageous.
Alexandra Rose Care Home is situated in Farlington, which is at the north of Portsmouth.
The Role:
- Provide home cooked varied meals, catering to a wide range of dietary needs
- Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Keep on top of relevant record keeping in line with policy and procedure
- Develop and maintain menus which are varied and appropriate
- Support with the ordering and stock taking of groceries
Contracted hours and shift pattern:
Job role is for Full Time; 37.5 hours per week on a set TWO week rota. The days/hours are set and non-negotiable.
Week 1: Monday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 8am-6pm (40 hours)
Week 2: Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 1pm-6pm, Thursday 8am-1pm, Friday 8am-6pm (35 hours)
