Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join our vibrant primary school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to pupils aged 7 to 11, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2 pupils
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a safe and respectful learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities within the class
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student well-being and achievement
- Organise and supervise extracurricular activities that enhance the curriculum experience
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behaviour management incidents
- Uphold school policies and promote positive behaviour through consistent behaviour management techniques
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification in the UK
- Proven experience in teaching within a primary setting, preferably at Key Stage 2 level
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and curriculum requirements
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging pupils, colleagues, and parents effectively
- Demonstrated ability in behaviour management and creating an inclusive classroom environment
- Passionate about fostering a love of learning and supporting the holistic development of children
