The role
You'll take full ownership of one of our highest-volume stores, leading a team of 25+ people across kitchen, counter, kiosk and delivery channels. Your job is simple to say and hard to do: build a team and a structure so strong that the store runs brilliantly whether you're in the building or not.
- Lead by example — run shifts from the floor, set the pace at peak, and hold the standard on every order that leaves the pass
- Build the team — recruit, induct, train and develop your own Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers; build your succession bench, don't just fill rotas
- Build the structure — clear stations, clear ownership, robust daily and weekly routines, so every shift runs to the same high standard
- Own the numbers — sales, labour deployment, food cost, waste and audit scores; you'll receive weekly performance data and full accountability for it
- Own the standards — food safety, health & safety, cleanliness and brand standards to external audit level (85%+ is the bar, every quarter), with full compliance with food hygiene and allergen legislation (including Natasha's Law)
Essential requirements
- Previous management experience in quick-service or branded fast-food restaurants — you have run a fast-paced food operation and led large teams through genuine volume
- Proven experience leading teams of 25 or more
- A track record of developing team members into supervisors and managers
- Genuine hands-on leadership — this role is led from the shop floor
- Full flexibility across the trading week — this is not a 9-to-5 role; you'll lead the shifts that matter most, including late nights and weekends, on a fair rota basis
- Strong command of your P&L — labour, food cost and waste — matched with a people-first leadership style
- A commitment to building a diverse and inclusive team, where people from all backgrounds are recruited, developed and promoted on merit
- The right to work in the UK (documentation will be verified in line with Home Office requirements)
Desirable
- Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to complete it — funded by us)
- Experience with digital operations tools (POS, rota, food safety and audit systems)
