About the Role
Florence House Care Home is a care community like no other, located in the heart of Govan and deeply connected to the local area. We provide person-centred support to older adults, as well as younger adults under the age of 65, living with a wide range of needs including mental wellbeing challenges, Huntington’s disease and addiction recovery support. Our ethos is built on empowerment, enablement and being positively risk-adventurous, ensuring the people who live with us are supported to live their best life with choice, dignity and independence.
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking and clinically astute Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality care within an innovative and supportive environment. You will play a key role in overseeing the clinical needs of the community, while working alongside highly skilled senior care staff and receiving ongoing support from our experienced Clinical Lead and Group Lead Nurse for supervision, professional development and training.
This role is a full or part time role for the right person.
About The Role
Role & Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the day-to-day clinical care needs of residents within the Florence House community.

Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care tailored to individual needs and outcomes.

Undertake clinical assessments, care planning, reviews and evaluations to ensure best practice is maintained.

Administer and monitor medication in line with regulatory and professional standards.

Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to senior care staff and wider team members during shifts.

Work collaboratively with our Senior Carer colleagues trained in insulin administration, venepuncture and basic wound care to promote positive outcomes.

Escalate concerns appropriately and liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, families and external agencies.

Support residents to make informed choices, promoting independence, dignity and positive risk-taking where appropriate.

Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and standards.

Participate in clinical supervision, audits, training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to creating a warm, inclusive and vibrant care community where residents can thrive and remain connected to the wider Govan community.

Act as a positive ambassador for Florence House, modelling compassionate leadership and person-centred values.
