At One YMCA, our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to evolve and improve the way we support our people, we are looking for a proactive and organised People Administrator to join our People Team on a six-month fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, organisation and continuous improvement. The role will provide project and administrative support during a period of organisational change, helping to ensure our policies, procedures, systems and resources remain accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
Working closely with colleagues across the People Team, you will play a key role in reviewing and updating People documentation, supporting the development of SharePoint resources, maintaining systems and contributing to projects that enhance the experience of colleagues and managers across the charity.
What will you be doing?
As our People Administrator, you will:
- Review, update and maintain People policies, procedures, templates, forms and guidance documents.
- Support the development and maintenance of People SharePoint sites and digital resources.
- Assist with the migration, organisation and quality assurance of People documentation and records.
- Create user-friendly guidance materials and resources to support colleagues and managers.
- Support organisational change projects through the updating of People systems, records and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency and reduce duplication.
- Provide administrative support across a range of People activities, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, employee relations and organisational development.
- Maintain accurate project records and support meetings, reporting and project activity.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the People Team to deliver a high-quality service.

Knowledge and Experience
- Experience providing high-quality administrative support.
- Experience maintaining and organising documentation, records or systems.
- Experience using and administering SharePoint sites.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience supporting projects or continuous improvement activities would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- A good general education to A-Level standard (or equivalent), or demonstrable relevant experience.
