Plumber – Social Housing Reactive Maintenance
Location: Kensington & Chelsea (West London)
Salary: £39,000 - £44,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a well-established contractor delivering reactive maintenance services within occupied social housing properties across Kensington & Chelsea.
This is a permanent role offering a company van, fuel card and excellent long-term career prospects with a secure, growing business.
The Role
As a Reactive Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied residential properties, ensuring work is completed to a high standard while providing excellent customer service.
Duties Include
- Carrying out reactive plumbing repairs within occupied social housing properties
- Diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults efficiently
- Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, basins, sinks and baths
- Repairing leaks on hot and cold water systems
- Clearing blockages and carrying out minor drainage repairs
- Replacing pipework where required
- Shower repairs and replacements
- Cylinder and immersion heater repairs (where applicable)
- Completing minor multi-skilled works associated with plumbing repairs
- Accurately completing job sheets using a PDA or mobile device
- Delivering excellent customer service while working in residents' homes
- Working in line with health and safety procedures
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working within reactive maintenance
- Social housing experience preferred
- Ability to diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
