Job Description: DISPENSER
Reports to: Dispensary Manager / Practice Manager
Hours Minimum 34 - week days only
Applicants must be available to work Monday and Friday
LOCATION: Praze Surgery & Connor Downs Surgery. Both our Surgeries are within 5 or 10 mins drive of the A30.
We are looking for a friendly, positive and approachable Team Member to join our dispensary team.
You will be an important part of creating a welcoming experience for our patients and visitors, providing professional, courteous and efficient support while responding to their queries and helping to ensure the dispensary runs smoothly.
Your role will include:
· Working as a valued member of the dispensary team and contributing to a positive and friendly environment.
· Welcoming and assisting patients and visitors in a professional and approachable manner.
· Responding to queries with courtesy, efficiency and a helpful attitude.
· Assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions.
· Supporting the team with stock control, including ordering, receiving and restocking dispensary supplies.
· Helping to maintain an organised and efficient dispensary to ensure patients receive a high standard of service.

This Job Description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive and will be reviewed periodically in conjunction with the post holder. The post holder is required to carry out any duties that may reasonably be requested by the Partners, the Dispensary Manager or the Practice Manager.
NVQ2 in Dispensary in General Practice is the minimum qualification required for this position.
The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment, such training to include:
· Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development.
· Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
· Achievement of the Dispensary Services Quality Scheme.
