Welder (MIG/TIG/Laser) – Daventry

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: Optional overtime available at an enhanced rate
Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG, TIG or Laser Welder to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Daventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and dedicated welder to become part of a busy manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, repairing and assembling metal components using a variety of welding techniques while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG, TIG and/or laser welding to a high standard.
- Fabricate, repair and assemble metal components.
- Weld a variety of materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Cut, shape, bend and assemble sheet metal components.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Carry out repairs or rework where required.
- Assist with the assembly of finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in MIG, TIG or Laser Welding is essential.
- Experience working with sheet metal and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes.
- Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Good mathematical skills for measurements and fabrication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential, as ongoing training and development will be provided.
