Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and technically experienced Field Service Engineer to join our well established and growing team, specialising in the service, repair and hire of commercial cleaning equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for a range of jet wash equipment and commercial cleaning systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and technical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site breakdowns, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial cleaning equipment and jet wash systems across various locations in the North East region.
- Identify and diagnose potential mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Repair and replace faulty components using hand tools and specialised equipment
- Provide technical guidance and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of various equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Represent Jetwash North East Ltd with professionalism and excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proven experience in mechanical or electrical repair within a workshop environment is a must
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Good communication skills for documenting work and liaising with team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to workshop operations is essential
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and technical software is advantageous
The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer, organised, proactive, and eager to transfer existing and learn new skills in the commercial cleaning field. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in technical maintenance within a professional setting.
Pay: £27,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
