Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wok Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and team management within a vibrant restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of wok-based dishes with precision and consistency
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes
- Manage food production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Oversee food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Lead the team in food preparation activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and supporting team development initiatives
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a restaurant specialising in Asian cuisine or wok dishes
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a hospitality setting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in food production and restaurant service is advantageous

Pay: £12.21-£13.81 per hour
