Job Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacist to take the lead in a well-positioned community pharmacy located in a charming Dorset village setting, next to a GP surgery. This role offers strong potential for service development and professional autonomy, as well as developing enhanced services.
The Role
- Full-time position: 41 hours per week
- Working hours:
- Monday–Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
- You will be the sole permanent Pharmacist, supported by a regular locum (Mon–Thurs) and experienced team of ACTs
- Opportunity to take ownership of clinical and commercial service delivery
Pharmacy Overview
- Currently dispenses approximately 15,000 items per month
- Serves an affluent, predominantly elderly patient demographic
- Private consultation room available
- Located with easy parking access
Services & Development Opportunities
This pharmacy currently has significant scope to expand services, making it ideal for a Pharmacist keen to grow clinical offerings. Focus areas include:
- Flu vaccinations
- Pharmacy First services
- Ear wax removal
- Additional private and NHS services
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience preferred
- Confident working as a sole Pharmacist
- Strong focus on patient care and service delivery
- Independent Prescriber qualification not essential
Package
- Salary circa £60,000 (based on 41 hours/week)
- Performance-related bonus linked to service delivery on top of salary

Experience
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist within a clinical or community pharmacy setting
- Relevant qualifications including a recognised pharmacy degree and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
