Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring safe handling at all times
- Organize and maintain yard storage areas to optimize space and accessibility
- Conduct routine inspections of yard equipment, including forklifts, for mechanical issues or safety hazards
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Move materials efficiently within the yard using proper lifting techniques and mechanical tools
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all yard activities
Skills
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, preferably in a materials handling or construction environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and shipments
- Mechanical knowledge to identify basic equipment issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation verification
- Strong understanding of construction site or warehouse safety standards and procedures
