Job Overview
We are a seeking a reliable person to join our small team for the busy wild venison season ahead.
Previous butchery experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
This is a physically demanding role, so applicants should have a good level of physical fitness.
Duties
- This role is primarily the skinning & dressing preparation of venison & some basic butchery tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area & site, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations (training will be given).
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and butchery techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production or preparation is advantageous, but full training will be given.
- Knowledge of food safety best practice.
- Ability to work independently / in a small team
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £14.00 per hour
