We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities according to personalised care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Supporting with meals and drinks as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for recording information electronically
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
