Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and high-quality service.
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, from ingredient selection to final presentation, maintaining consistency and creativity.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
- Train and mentor team members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Enforce health and safety policies, conduct regular inspections, and uphold sanitation standards across the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead a diverse culinary team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Excellent skills in food preparation, culinary techniques, and presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate staff, and foster a positive work atmosphere.
- Prior restaurant experience is highly preferred; hospitality background is a plus.
