Job Title: Landscape Site Agent
Reports To: Landscape Co-ordinator
Role Overview
The Landscape Site Agent is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of landscaping and grounds maintenance works on site. The role ensures that all projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while maintaining effective communication between site teams and the Landscape Co-ordinator.
The Landscape Site Agent will carry out site inspections before, during and after works, ensuring sites are fully prepared, work is completed to specification, and any issues are identified and communicated promptly. The role also plays a key part in identifying additional works, maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-start site inspections to ensure sites are ready for programmed works.
- Undertake regular inspections during works to monitor progress, quality and compliance with specifications.
- Complete final inspections and sign off completed works to ensure client expectations and company standards have been achieved.
- Report directly to the Landscape Co-ordinator with updates on site progress, quality, programme delivery, issues and completed works.
- Identify variations or additional works outside the original contract and report these promptly to the Landscape Co-ordinator, providing relevant information to support quotations and client approvals.
- Provide photographs, site notes and supporting information where required to assist with variations, reporting and invoicing.
- Monitor the performance and workmanship of site operatives, ensuring work is completed to a consistently high standard.
- Address quality issues on site, providing guidance and corrective actions where required.
- Ensure teams comply with company procedures, health and safety legislation and client requirements.
- Deliver toolbox talks and communicate health and safety information to site teams.
- Promote safe working practices and report any hazards, incidents or concerns to the Landscape Co-ordinator.
- Support the planning and coordination of works by identifying site constraints, access issues or resource requirements.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, residents and other stakeholders on site.
- Assist in resolving site issues efficiently to minimise delays and maintain programme delivery.
- Complete site reports, inspections and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience within the landscaping and or grounds maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping operations, materials and best practice.
- Experience supervising or coordinating operational teams.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Ability to identify defects and maintain high quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, basic Microsoft Office applications, as well as in house systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- LANTRA, NPTC or Horticultural qualifications.
- Experience working with local authority or commercial landscaping contracts.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and client specifications.

Salary / Benefits
- £32,000 – £36,000 (42.5 hours a week (7am - 4pm)).
