About the Role
As our National Sales Manager – Care Homes & Patient Services, you'll be responsible for building, leading and developing a high-performing outbound sales function focused on generating new business and revenue growth.
You'll recruit and lead a team of Sales Representatives, establish performance metrics, implement best-practice sales processes and create a culture centred around accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement.
Working closely with our Territory Executive field sales team, you'll ensure sales activity is coordinated, opportunities are maximised and customers receive a seamless experience throughout their journey.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution and who thrives on creating structure, momentum and results.
What You'll Be Doing
- Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing outbound sales team, creating a culture focused on accountability, customer experience and continuous improvement.
- Establish team structures, KPIs, coaching frameworks and performance standards to drive individual and team success.
- Lead proactive sales campaigns across Care Home and Direct-to-Patient channels, delivering against revenue, acquisition and conversion targets.
- Implement innovative prospecting and consultative selling strategies to identify, create and convert new business opportunities.
- Optimise sales processes, CRM systems and telephony platforms to improve productivity, customer engagement and overall performance.
- Monitor pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, conversion rates and customer journey performance, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Territory Executives to generate qualified opportunities, support account planning and maximise sales conversion across territories.
- Build strong relationships with care home owners, managers and procurement teams to identify growth opportunities within residential, nursing and specialist care settings.
- Lead empathetic, consultative conversations with patients, carers and families, delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining regulatory and data privacy compliance.
- Develop reporting, governance and succession planning frameworks to support the long-term growth and success of the sales function.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience leading high-performing sales, outbound sales or contact centre sales teams.
- Demonstrable success building, launching or transforming a sales operation.
- Strong track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Experience managing KPIs, forecasting and pipeline performance.
- Strong commercial awareness and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience working with CRM, telephony and customer management platforms.
- Excellent coaching, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse sales performance, customer behaviours and conversion funnels to identify growth opportunities.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think outside the box, identify new opportunities and convert them into commercial success.
Desirable
- Experience within healthcare, care homes, medical devices, mobility, pharmacy or related sectors.
- Experience leading customer acquisition or business development teams.
- Understanding of care home markets and healthcare services.
- Experience managing multi-channel sales environments.
