Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your hands-on skills, attention to detail, and safety awareness will contribute to delivering high-quality results efficiently. Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise project execution
- Operate heavy machinery and fabrication equipment safely to support roofing fabrication and installation processes
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, and insulation to facilitate efficient workflow
- Use welding techniques when necessary for metal roofing components or structural supports
- Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other trades as needed during construction projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing is highly preferred
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or blueprints is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes
- Knowledge of roofing techniques including shingle installation, metal roofing, or membrane systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, carpentry or related trades is a plus but not required
- Strong commitment to safety practices and teamwork in fast-paced environments
