Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Fitter/Joiner to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the installation, fabrication and fitting of kitchen units, cabinetry and fixtures to the highest standards.
Your expertise will ensure each project is completed efficiently, accurately and with exceptional attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of residential projects, creating beautiful, practical and bespoke kitchens that meet our clients’ specifications and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble and install kitchen cabinetry, worktops and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Install premium kitchen units, bespoke furniture and high-quality cabinetry.
- Fabricate custom components to precise specifications for seamless integration into existing spaces.
- Carry out carpentry and joinery work, including fitting doors, drawers, shelves and other cabinetry elements.
- Adapt and problem-solve on site to achieve a high-quality finish, even when faced with unexpected challenges.
- Undertake relevant plumbing, electrical, masonry or other associated installation work where suitably qualified and experienced.
- Safely handle and position heavy or bulky materials during installation.
- Complete finishing touches, adjustments and minor remedial work to ensure a polished final result.
- Work closely with clients, designers, project managers and other trades to ensure plans and specifications are followed accurately.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment throughout each installation.
- Represent Kitchenality professionally when working in clients’ homes.
Requirements & Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 10 years’ experience in kitchen fitting, carpentry or joinery.
- Has proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry and joinery.
- Has experience installing bespoke furniture and high-quality cabinetry.
- Is confident using a wide range of hand tools and power tools.
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing an exceptional standard of finish.
- Has strong practical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to on-site challenges.
- Is organised, punctual, reliable and able to manage installations effectively.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, our team and other trades.
- Is confident working independently while also being a valued part of a wider design and installation team.
- Has a good understanding of construction health and safety standards and practices.
- Is comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including safely lifting and positioning heavy materials.
- Has previous residential or commercial fit-out experience, preferably within the premium or bespoke sector.
Desirable but not essential:
- Plumbing qualifications or relevant experience.
- Electrical qualifications or relevant experience.
- Roofing or masonry experience.
- Formal carpentry or joinery qualifications/training.
- Your own trusted network or team of skilled tradespeople.
