Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Summer Restaurant/Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This seasonal role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry while delivering exceptional guest services. The ideal candidates will be friendly, organised, and passionate about creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid and suitable for individuals looking to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests in the restaurant and bar areas
- Take orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar staff
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed, ensuring quality standards are met
- Manage tables effectively, ensuring guests’ needs are attended to promptly and professionally
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Keep the dining area clean, organised, and welcoming throughout service periods
- Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and billing accurately
- Experience with guest services or upselling techniques is desirable but not mandatory
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
