Hendl is a modern rotisserie and beer hall concept operating from the heart of Hackney Church Brew Co. We focus on exceptional rotisserie chicken, seasonal specials, quality ingredients and a menu designed to compliment great beer.

The Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the kitchen operation. You'll work closely with the directors to maintain exceptional food quality, develop new menu items, manage costs and build a positive kitchen culture.
We are looking for a chef who is organised, commercially aware and passionate about producing consistently excellent food.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure consistently high food quality and presentation
- Manage stock, ordering and supplier relationships
- Control food costs, wastage and gross profit margins
- Recruit, train and develop kitchen team members
- Create and implement seasonal specials and menu development
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Manage rotas and labour costs efficiently
- Ensure smooth service during busy trading periods and events
- Foster a positive, professional and motivated kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational ability
- Commercial awareness and understanding of food cost control
- Experience managing stock and ordering systems
- Passion for quality ingredients and simple, well-executed food
- Calm under pressure and service-focused
- Food Safety Level 3 (minimum)

Pay: £42,900.00-£48,620.00 per year
