Michael Hope Sports are looking for a member of staff to join our small friendly team in Box. We supply schoolwear, workwear and sportswear locally and throughout the UK.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person with good social skills. This is a varied role which will be split between embroidery, printing , order picking and stock control.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Embroidery
Preparing garments and accessories for embroidery including: counting and framing garments, changing multiple thread colours and loading embroidery designs onto machine.
Whilst the machines are running you will be monitoring the quality and design of the embroidery and fixing any problems such as thread breaks as well as preparing for the next run. You will also be removing the backing from finished garments, trimming threads and folding.
Printing
- Preparing prints for pressing.
- Applying heat transfers to garments on heat press machines.
- Checking off prints as per individual orders.
Warehouse Operations
- Picking and packing orders.
- Re-stocking.
Skills Required:
- Experience in operating embroidery machines preferred but not essential as training will be given.
- Warehouse experience also beneficial but not essential.
- This position is physically demanding and you will need to be able to stand on your feet all day.
- You should be able to work individually and as part of a team.
- You should have a pro-active approach to working.
- You need to be reliable and responsible.
- Attention to detail is required.
- Ability to work with speed and accuracy is required.
Working Hours:
Mondays to Thursdays 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Fridays 8.00 am to 12 noon.
Holidays
4 weeks paid holiday per year + bank holidays.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 36.0 per week
