Our shop is the official retailer to the University of St Andrews. It provides high quality University branded clothing and goods and provides a welcoming point for University visitors, tourists and the public.
Our aim is to provide a broad range of the highest quality of merchandise to an international family of alumni, students, staff and visitors. We are also a Welcome to Fife tourist information point, giving international visitors help and advice on their journey.
Position
This vacancy is for a Temporary Sales Associate position requiring full flexibility. Shifts will be scheduled across 7 days of the week according to business needs. The specific days are not fixed and will require full flexibility Monday to Sunday, with participation in a rotating weekend rota
This is for a 0hr casual contract, where available hours are maximised being the summer, and into freshers week
Key duties and responsibilities
- Provide an excellent sales service to customers ensuring service levels and sales targets are achieved
- Develop thorough product knowledge to identify specific features relevant to the customer experience
- Ensure products are presented and promoted attractively
- Support your management team to drive store sales, maximise profitability, and achieve KPI targets
- Maintain stock levels and stock rotation
- Receive and accurately record stock deliveries
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Picking and packing online orders
- Cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Any other duties that may be required
