Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Gas Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas boilers in residential properties. Duties
- Install, service, and repair gas appliances, pipelines, and related equipment according to safety standards and regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and testing of gas systems to ensure compliance with industry codes
- Diagnose issues using mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to identify faults quickly
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to perform repairs and installations effectively
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs performed, and parts used for each job
- Assist with assembly of new gas systems and components as needed for installation projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Gas Service Engineer or similar role in the gas industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical diagrams
- Valid commercial driving license with a clean driving record preferred
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects regularly and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to gas systems and industry regulations
