Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Community Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals in their own homes and live-in care. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients while ensuring their dignity and comfort.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, hospice care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
- A background in nursing or first aid training is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A genuine passion for providing patient care and supporting individuals in need.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility challenges.
