HGV Workshop Apprentice – Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician
32 Months (+3 months EPA)
Reporting to: Head of VMU Operations Corby
The HGV Apprenticeship offers hands-on-related workshop training and experience alongside day release to study at college - providing practical, on-the-job training and classroom-based instruction.
Main objectives:
Based in our Corby VMU this role will offer the following:
- The opportunity to work alongside highly qualified & skilled Technicians and to learn from their experience.
- To be paid a competitive wage whilst gaining the practical skills, knowledge and experience required to gain a Level 3 qualification.
Candidate requirement:
- Must be at least 16 years of age and not in full time education.
- Must be able to follows instruction and guidance from mentoring technicians retain instruction for future use, ask relevant questions and demonstrate a positive attitude to learning.
- Must understand the Health & Safety requirements within the workshop and the importance of good housekeeping.
- Must behave in a mature and professional manner in the workplace and demonstrate good attendance and timekeeping.
