We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our production team in Ross-on-Wye. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is looking to develop their career within a successful and forward-thinking company.
The Role
Working primarily with stainless steel, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality fabricated assemblies to exacting standards. The successful candidate will be able to work from engineering drawings, maintain excellent attention to detail, and consistently produce high-standard welds.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding of stainless steel (typically 1-4 mm) to a very high standard.
- A good eye for attention to detail
- Fabricating and assembling stainless steel products from engineering drawings
- Picking and preparing kits of parts from stores
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Working independently and efficiently following initial training
- Maintaining a safe and organised environment
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' experience TIG welding thin-gauge stainless steel (1–4mm)
- Proven ability to produce high-quality, aesthetically pleasing welds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good fabrication and assembly skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Experience with robotic welding systems
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
In return we offer a competitive salary £36,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. Ongoing training and development.
