FlexiSail is one of the UK's leading boat membership clubs and an RYA Training Centre, providing members with access to a modern fleet of sailing yachts, motorboats and RIBs from our base at Hamble Point Marina.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our fleet, ensuring every boat is maintained to the highest standard and every member receives exceptional service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational and management skills who enjoys working in a unique marina environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for coordinating the daily operation of the fleet, managing maintenance schedules, organising staff and contractors, and ensuring boats are presented to an exceptional standard for our members.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll become a key part of the management team and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the FlexiSail fleet.
- Coordinate engineering and valeting staff.
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules.
- Schedule servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure boats are clean, fuelled and fully prepared for member bookings.
- Monitor and resolve reported defects.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and marina staff.
- Order parts and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain maintenance records and compliance documentation.
- Carry out regular inspections of the fleet.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our members.
- Support continuous improvements to operational procedures.
About You

- Calm under pressure and a proactive problem solver.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Desirable Experience
- Marine industry experience.
- Boat ownership or boating knowledge.
- Engineering or maintenance management experience.
- Experience managing operational teams.
- Health & Safety awareness.
Marine experience is desirable but not essential. Applicants with strong operations, facilities, engineering or logistics management backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
