Johnson Care Group has been successfully running Residential Care Homes for over 30 years. The group are currently running 16 care homes based in Essex and Leicestershire. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Contracts, Accounts and Purchasing Assistant is responsible for ensuring the procurement of all goods and services are undertaken and all supplier invoices are input, paid and reconciled to the purchase order.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake and have responsibility for the day to day purchasing of consumables and equipment for the care homes.
- To identify procurement requirements across the group.
- To produce recommendations to Senior Management of potential procurement requirements.
- To manage ongoing contracts and price files.
- To support the Estates team with the procurement of service contracts.
- To support negotiations of pricing, product and contractual requirements.
- To manage the ongoing advancements of online ordering and creating a paperless office.
- Responsibility for the supervision and performance management of the Accounts Payable Administrator, supporting them to achieve their potential.
- To manage and supervise the upload of supplier invoices to Sage in its entirety, supervising the Accounts Payable Administrator.
- To review and maintain the Purchase Order system in line with the Group’s budgets and authorisation levels.
- To track costs per resident per day in line with occupancy and budgets.
- Provide support across the Finance department where and when required.
- To assist the Head of Finance with projects that may arise in the development of the business.
Skills:
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- Good computer skills - all Microsoft programmes
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of SAGE beneficial but not essential
- A strong team worker
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Care industry experience would be beneficial
- A car owner/driver would be beneficial

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
