justteachers is currently seeking a nurturing and proactive SEND Support Worker to join a specialist provision in Gainsborough. The schools main focus is on creating positive relationships between all pupils and staff to support successful learning.
The school supports pupils ages 5 to 16 with a wide range of additional needs. All of the children have an Education, Health and Care plans in place.
The role is full time and on a temp to perm basis, with the right candidate expected to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers to support pupils with SEND in the classroom and the wider school.
- Implement individual Education, Health and Care plans and adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs.
- Provide one to one and small group support to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assist with personal care and emotional regulation strategies where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with SEND (ideally in an education setting, desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in SEND education.
