Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they are seated promptly
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations when appropriate
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their dining experience and addressing any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and process transactions efficiently
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities whilst respecting guest preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation or setup as required during quieter periods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food preparation or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Time management skills to ensure prompt service and optimise guest satisfaction
- Guest-focused attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and menu knowledge
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
