We hand rear pigs & lambs to support our menu as well as work with local suppliers. We are set in five acers with a very supportive community that have pushed us to where we are now & push us to continue with developing & bettering our establishment. Summary
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Sous Chef to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality, seasonal dishes while helping to lead and inspire the kitchen team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where creativity and consistency are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Supporting menu development with a focus on seasonal produce
- Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Managing stock, ordering, and reducing waste
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Train new staff and provide ongoing development for team members.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills and kitchen experience.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and customer satisfaction.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
