Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Operator & Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine to produce precision components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machine for milling / routering MDF components.
- Program CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as Vcarve pro and other CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) tools to develop efficient machining routines.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure parts are manufactured accurately according to design requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for part finishing, assembly, or adjustments as needed.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations essential for machining operations.
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and verify that finished products meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine settings, production logs, and inspection reports.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines or grinders in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Vcarve pro or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machine calibration.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic math for precise measurements.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
