Are you an experienced Industrial Painter looking for your next long-term opportunity?
Westwood Recruitment are recruiting skilled Industrial Painters to join a major bridge maintenance project based in Newport, Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK's key infrastructure projects, carrying out specialist protective coating and maintenance works in a safety-focused environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing steel surfaces using mechanical preparation methods
- Applying industrial protective coating systems to structural steelwork
- Carrying out maintenance painting and coating repairs
- Working safely from scaffolding, access platforms and MEWPs
- Following project specifications and quality standards
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Working collaboratively as part of an experienced maintenance team
What we're looking for:
- ICATS or Train the Painter Gold certification
- Valid CSCS Card
- National Highways Passport
- Previous experience working on bridges, highways, rail, marine or heavy infrastructure projects
- Ability to travel to Newport, Wales (within approximately 1.5 hours)
- A positive attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety
