Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Roof Estimator who has experience in both flat & pitched systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing roofing projects, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring cost control throughout the bidding process. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in securing projects and maintaining profitability while providing exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Requirements
- Minimum 5 years roofing estimating experience.
- Extensive knowledge of flat and pitched roofing.
- Experience pricing social housing contracts.
- Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR).
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Experience producing Bills of Quantities.
- Confident with Excel and estimating software.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven experience as a Roof Estimator or similar role within the construction or roofing industry
- Strong understanding of roofing materials, methods, and industry standards
- Excellent skills in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
