Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead and oversee complex civil and structural engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and managing structural systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and realisation of structural systems for diverse civil engineering projects, including commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant programmes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery within scope.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and clients to develop system designs that meet technical specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct structural analysis using specialised tools like Mathcad and System design software to optimise performance and durability.
- Review and approve technical calculations, reports, and construction documentation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Ensure all projects adhere to relevant codes of practice, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD platforms for detailed design work.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive experience in system design within civil or structural engineering contexts.
- Advanced knowledge of structural analysis tools such as Mathcad.
- Proven construction experience with a comprehensive understanding of on-site processes and challenges.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in engineering solutions.

Pay: £7,083.00-£9,167.00 per month
