Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented General Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery and equipment to support fabrication, assembly, and materials handling processes. Duties
- Operate fabrication equipment such as milling machines, welding stations, and other mechanical tools to produce high-quality components.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor automated machinery for precision operations.
- Assist in the assembly of parts and products using hand tools, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and technical drawings created in SolidWorks.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse setting, including loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all fabrication, welding, and assembly activities.
- Support tooling setup and adjustments to meet production specifications while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, milling, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing or reviewing parts and assemblies.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control tasks.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with materials handling within a warehouse or production setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Knowledge of tooling setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus to ensure smooth inventory management and logistics coordination.
