Experienced Chef – (£30-38k) + Tips
Six Bells, Oxford is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team.
We’re a busy independent pub with a strong focus on freshly prepared, quality food. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking, maintains high standards and can work confidently as part of a professional kitchen team.
Salary: (£30,000 - £38,000) depending on experience
Tips are shared amongst the team and paid in addition to your salary – they are not included within the advertised salary.
The role
You’ll work alongside our existing kitchen team across preparation and service, helping us maintain consistently high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
- Working confidently across different sections of the kitchen
- Daily preparation and mise en place
- Maintaining portion control, presentation and food quality
- Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service
- Following food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures
- Working efficiently and calmly during busy services
- Supporting the wider kitchen team
What we’re looking for
Previous professional kitchen experience is essential.

- Has strong practical cooking and kitchen skills

- Can perform well during busy services
