Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse Manager to lead our reward and recognition fulfilment warehouse operation in a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Finchampstead. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily logistics, inventory management, and team supervision to ensure seamless supply chain execution. Duties:
Warehouse Operations
- Manage the accurate, efficient and secure processing of goods, including booking in, storage, picking, packing and despatch.
- Oversee customer returns and stock consolidation.
- Run annual and weekly stock takes and investigate any stock discrepancies.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the warehouse.
- Liaise with other departments to support wider business objectives.
Team Management
- Team Leadership, coaching and performance management
- Manage warehouse staff professionally and ensure adequate staffing to meet business demand.
- Oversee staff attendance, timekeeping and holiday planning.
- Recruit and interview new staff as required.
- Carry out staff performance reviews.
- Apply the company's disciplinary and grievance procedures consistently.
Health & Safety
- Enforce all company health and safety procedures across the warehouse.
- Keep staff certification current, including manual handling and forklift training.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and manage maintenance schedules.
Supplier & Stakeholder Liaison
- Liaise with couriers, packaging suppliers, waste contractors and ad hoc delivery providers.
- Represent the warehouse as an active member of the senior management team.
- Attend weekly toolbox meetings.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Compile and report on warehouse KPIs.
- Identify and implement process and equipment improvements to raise efficiency
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or logistics environment with strong leadership capabilities.
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes, logistics management, and transportation systems.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of UK and ROW shipping & receiving procedures, including freight documentation, customs documentation and carrier coordination.
- Certified forklift operator with the ability to manage material handling equipment safely.
- Knowledge of UK & ROW dangerous goods, hazmat shipping regulation.
- Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
