Duties
- Diagnose complex hybrid and electric vehicle systems using detailed schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on hybrid/electric powertrains, including battery packs, inverters, motors, and control units
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately
- Conduct routine inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Assist with assembly of new vehicles or parts as needed, adhering to safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records, including repair steps, parts used, and diagnostic findings
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience working as an auto mechanic with a focus on hybrid or electric vehicles preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and safety features
- Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements
- Experience with vehicle maintenance programs and equipment repair is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
