About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Female Healthcare Assistant to join our domiciliary care team. You will provide high-quality care and support to people in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
This role involves travelling between clients' homes, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with medication in line with care plans and company policies.
- Prepare meals and support clients with eating and drinking where required.
- Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Carry out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor clients' wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Follow individual care plans while promoting clients' independence.
- Comply with safeguarding procedures, infection prevention measures, and health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Female applicant (this role is subject to a genuine occupational requirement due to the nature of personal care provided).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Caring, compassionate, and reliable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, or as a Healthcare Assistant.
- Care Certificate or Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
- Medication administration and moving and handling training.
