RSPCA Sheffield Resuce Centre has an exciting opportunity for you to help raise vital funds and awareness to all Customers in our Retail Charity Shops in the City of Sheffield. All of our charity shops raise vital funds to support the welfare, rehabilitation, and care required to enable us to rehome animals
Job description
- work closely with the shop manager, shop staff and volunteers, and other personnel, cascading information as required and working collaboratively to ensure targets and objectives are successfully met.
- present an excellent image of the Sheffield RSPCA
- maintaining a customer focused shop
- working on the shop floor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers
- responsible for safely sorting stock and preparing items for display
- researching and pricing items appropriately
- operating the till, and cash/card handling
- be a strong communicator
- delivering excellent customer service and enjoy meeting lots of different people
- enjoy goals and have an understanding of the importance of hitting targets
- contribute to innovative ways to increase donations, attract, support and value volunteers
- A DBS will be required at candidates own cost
- Sorting, moving, and dealing with 2nd hand charitable stock donations and supporting with an online retail listing if required
- This role will involve extensive cleaning duties across the site
- Supporting with the running of events
- Maintaining a clean and professional safe working area
- Abiding by health and safety working rules and guidelines
- An ability to drive is desirable
- Must be flexible and a team player
- Will involve some weekend and evening work
- Cover online sales and other shops when required
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
