Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

The Role
Q Catering is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. This is a hands-on role working across all three warehouse environments: Ambient, Chilled, and Frozen. You will play a key role in ensuring stock is managed efficiently and warehouse operations run smoothly while maintaining high standards of food safety and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store deliveries accurately within the appropriate warehouse area.
- Operate forklifts and Aisle Master trucks safely and efficiently.
- Work across Ambient, Chilled, and Frozen warehouse sections as required.
- Carry out stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Maintain accurate stock control and product management.
- Complete warehouse documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Ensure products are stored correctly and safely to preserve quality.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of warehouse operations.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Valid Forklift Truck Licence.
- Valid Aisle Master Licence.
- Experience with stock rotation (FIFO).
- Knowledge of stock control and product management.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in chilled and frozen environments.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Desirable
- Experience within the food distribution or catering industry.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
