Job Summary
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a qualified dental nurse to work in our Belfast Dental Practice.
This position is due to start in September 2026.
We would consider part time if the hours and days can work. Please advise which hours and days you could offer – we can be flexible for the right people!
We are a modern, 4 surgery, dentist owned practice.
We aim to provide the highest quality family and cosmetic dentistry in a relaxed and caring environment.
Set up in 2012, the practice provides general dental care along with implants, orthodontics and cosmetic options. The practice is fully digital and has access to digital scanners and a CBCT machine. The practice is a mix of Denplan, private and NHS children.
Duties
· Providing clinical chair-side support to dentists
· Preparing and sterilising instruments
· Recording medical and dental information
· Ensuring a high standard of patient care
Must also be comfortable providing reception cover ensuring that the reception desk is organised in an efficient manner and patients are looked after during their visit to the practice.
The successful candidate will ideally be enthusiastic, punctual, hardworking and enjoy teamwork.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
- NEBDN Diploma in dental nursing
- Valid GDC registration
Desirable Experience
Familiar with Software of Excellence Exact or Dentally computer system
Implant, orthodontic or cosmetic smile design experience
