Role/Team overview
We are looking for a communications natural with a track record in issues management and delivering impactful comms to key corporate and financial audiences. You will have enjoyed working in a high-pressure, fast paced press office, will be organised, good at managing people and tasks, and a natural at building relationships both internally and externally.
What you’ll do:
Manage and deliver PR plans aligned to business objectives, defining clear goals and target audiences.
Handle incoming media enquiries and helping reach resolutions that reflect positively on Sky.
Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media, including business and financial.
Monitor the regulatory and policy environment and help the business prepare for and react to changes, working alongside the Public Affairs and Policy team.
Support the delivery of insight-driven corporate campaigns on areas that build Sky’s reputation.
Develop a network at Sky that will enable you to find answers quickly and support a broad range of internal stakeholders efficiently.
Monitor industry trends, including key competitors and where analysis could impact Sky.
What you'll bring:
Strong experience in a communications/public relations role (in-house or agency
Understanding of how to communicate effectively within complex or regulated environments
Established relationships with media, stakeholders, or relevant external audiences (national, regional, trade press)
Confidence managing sensitive or high-profile issues, with sound judgement under pressure
Ability to think creatively and proactively to generate impactful coverage and support key campaigns and narratives

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.
