We are now recruiting for a Travel Specialist to create incredible travel experiences for each individual customer whilst keeping it straight forward and simple. Identifying and maximising all sales opportunities whilst delivering and maintaining Travelbag Brand Values.
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Job Accountabilities:
Sales:
- Proactively match customer requests to Travelbag’s extensive range of products, maximising all sales opportunities while providing a perfect holiday experience
- Consistently achieve individual monthly sales targets (GCI, New Bookings, conversion and margin rates) as well as contributing to the overall achievement of the store targets
- Embrace all methods of current and new technology used to enhance customer experience
- Ensure all sales opportunities are optimized and work towards specific business product targets i.e. incentive drives
- Ensure that the most up to date product knowledge is obtained and shared with colleagues
- Proactively sell ancillary products e.g. day tours and transfers
- Adhere to company policy in terms of sales techniques and data recording to assist with Product and Marketing strategies
Service:
- Ensure all clients are greeted and responded to appropriately, regardless of line of enquiry offering relevant brochures and ensuring cover in the front shop at all times
- Act as an ambassador to Travelbag and provide a company image to all customers which reflects the company brand
- Ensure excellent customer service is provided to all customers at all times irrespective of communication channel
- Effectively handle customer complaints to minimise customer dissatisfaction and encourage repeat business
Team:
- Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure each team member is provided the opportunity to develop and maximize their potential
- Provide feedback on success of promotional activities
- Attend, participate in and contribute positively towards team meetings/briefings
- Recommend constructive improvements to system or working practices
- Support operational process within location
- Contribute to and attend brand events
- Promote Travelbag brand values through contribution of personal experiences and knowledge to marketing collateral
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- GDS experience an advantage, but full training will be given
- Good IT skills including keyboard skills and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide service to our customers through varied methodology – i.e. face to face, by telephone and by e-mail
- Ability to work under own supervision or as part of a team
- Enthusiastic and persuasive
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- A passion for travel
- Experience of the travel industry is desirable, but not essential
