Job Overview
The Mount Batten Bar & Carvery are looking for an reliable and hard working Kitchen Assistant to work within our team. We are a very busy waterfront pub with a large outside seating area as well as carvery restaurant. We serve good quality homecooked food throughout the day, 7 days a week.
As this is a very busy environment we are looking for someone reliable and well organised who can use their own initiative and work well under pressure.
Duties
- Manage the smooth running of the salad section during service
- Assist kitchen team with food preparation ready for service
- Assist with replenishment of carvery vegetables during carvery service
- Work with established food safety practices, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
Experience
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Good knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

Pay: £13.50-£13.70 per hour
